Hoods Discount Home Center has acquired a vacant shopping center in St. Peters where it’ll open a new store and scout for retailers to fill the remaining space.

Hoods, a home improvement retailer that operates five locations in the St. Louis area, purchased the roughly 90,000-square-foot center, at 301 Costco Way off of Interstate 70, from St. Louis commercial real estate services firm Pace Properties. A sales price was not disclosed, but Pace paid at least $3.1 million for the property when it bought it out of foreclosure in late 2019, according to St.

Online shopping now at 85pc

Almost half of Irish people now use Zoom for work, with 85pc now shopping online and two thirds using Netflix and other streaming services.

These are the findings of a new survey from Ireland’s telecoms watchdog, Comreg.

The poll of 2,000 adults also found that a third of Irish people have blocked or unfriended someone on social media, with over half of us ‘reporting’ others to a social media company.

Amazon Fresh Grocery Opening for In-Store Shopping In Oak Lawn

OAK LAWN, IL — Although it has been open for online ordering and delivery the past several months, the Amazon Fresh grocery store will open for in-store shopping Thursday, Feb. 11. The store is located on the site of a former Kmart at 4031 W 95th St., Oak Lawn, across the street from Target and Home Depot.

According to a company news release, the store will offer “consistently low prices” on top brands, plus high-quality produce, meat and seafood. Prepared foods are made fresh in the store’s kitchen.

Bill to allow home delivery of beer, wine in SC advances amid pandemic’s shopping changes | Columbia Business

COLUMBIA — A bill allowing stores to deliver beer and wine to homes along with the grocery orders moved forward in the S.C. House on Feb. 3 despite opposition from a state law enforcement leader.

Advocates for the bill, which include the S.C. Chamber of Commerce, argue that the change would recognize that more consumers shop online, especially during the pandemic.
